MY Kitchen TOUR!

I'm joining KELLY doing this....
WeLcOmE 2 My KiTcHeN!

When we added on to our house in 2007-we added a 1600 square foot great room to include our living, kitchen and dining room. We figured with 7 kids-we need PLENTY of room for our grandkids so we just WENT BIG the first time we added on. We give ALL THE GLORY to God for providing our family with our addition.I would call my style MODERN RUSTIC CHIC-sounds good huh? Our non-bar seats 9 and our dining table seats 10. Our non-bar has matching rock to our fireplace.

One of my favorite decorations is a simple one from my SIL Aunt B. I'm not the craftiest gal.
The only thing I've changed about this jar is adding the banana.

YES, ALL THE FAKE FRUIT HAS BEEN CHEWED ON BY THE KIDS!I love my rustic branch-like light fixtures and my $25 Gordman's clock! This milk pitcher and antique scale were found here on the farm in one of our grain bins-LOVE IT!This mirror was used by The Captains uncle for shaving in the old wash house here on the farm. The egg gathering basket was also an "original" found here. I LOVE my double oven! With a large family and a simple kitchen, I can cook 2 things at once. This is my favorite appliance!

Notice the blue post-it over the digital clock?

This is for homeschooling purposes so we can learn how to tell time-the old fashioned-non cheatin way! We have a tile back splash. The smaller squares were left over from our bathroom so we added them in the kitchen to spice it up a bit!

My niece Courts POO sculpted this this set with her talented hands! I have been MORE THAN THRILLED with my UBA TUBA granite counter tops-they've had everything done to them by THE TRIBE and are still flawless! This here is the "ET E CUT" of our family!

I love it!

Especially the non use of utensils and the shirt inside out, backwards with tags dripping in the food!

Ya'all come back now, YA HEAR!

So nice to find your blog! Your kitchen is great...Your story is so precious! My husband was adopted, as well as two other, then they also had one birth child 10 years later! It's amazing and he was truly blessed with a wonderful family...so glad others out there are setting an example for adoption and foster care as well. Hopefully someday we will either have babies or adopt...either way I am fine with it if that is what the Lord wants for us! Anyways-I will quit rambling...have a great weekend! Becky

So beautiful! Rustic/modern describes your kitchen well. I love the branch light fixture. I'm sure that double oven does come in handy with all those hungry mouths around the house. =) Your kitchen and dining area are beautiful!
