WOWZERS we've been busy!
We started out last week right when The Captain got home, BACK on an airplane! It was Bakers FIRST AIRPLANE RIDE!!
The Captain REALLY wanted to fly her on her first flight BUT it was not meant to be.
The 3 of us headed from MCI to DFW..
The girls stayed with my parents and the boys stayed with MY DEAR BRAVE FRIEND!
We flew down to pick up and drive back....
OUR NEW SECOND HOME!
We feel blessed beyond measure to be able to have this RV.
We are a family who LOVES TO TRAVEL!!!
The Captain and I both grew up traveling ALL OVER and we want the same life experiences for our kiddos!
It is getting more and more difficult for us to "get around" with 7 kids. We have talked, prayed and mulled over this decision for a LONG TIME and are thrilled that God has allowed us to have this experience.
We got there on THE COLDEST DAY IN TEXAS HISTORY!
We stayed the night there in our new RV and drove back the next morning!
2 Days later, we took our TRIAL RUN first trip to see THE DUGGARS!!
Who were doing a benefit for The Lawrence Crisis Pregnancy Center.
They made NO MONEY off of their appearance and paid their own way to Kansas.
The kids were SO EXCITED!
Our Captain can DRIVE ANYTHING!
Airplane, Tractor, Harley and now our own CLARK GRISWOLD at the RV WHEEL!
Girls in their bunks!
We drove a couple hours, I fixed lunch on the way and the time FINALLY CAME!
It was VERY SURREAL to actually get to meet and chat with the entire Duggar Family. We bought tickets for the smaller "meet and greet" of about 100 people.
SO WORTH IT!
Then we joined 700 others to hear them speak further and hear the kids, sing and play their instruments! AWESOMENESS!
It was truly LIFE CHANGING for The Captain and I.
We stayed up late into the night chatting about what a wonderful Christ filled family we experienced and how we would like to strive to be more like them.
They were even more precious, kind and gracious in person than they are on TV. We are SO THANKFUL for the opportunity we had to meet this incredible family! They gave GREAT advice on parenting and marraige.
One of the things Michelle said that REALLY stuck out in my head was...
"We must PRAISE our children TEN TIMES MORE that we correct them."
WOW! That was DEEP! I have REALLY been trying to do this since we returned home.
Now, WHO KNOWS, we may just be BRINGING OUR SECOND HOME TO MEET YOU!!
Any IDEAS FOR A NAME FOR OUR NEW RIG???

Love the new 2nd home!!!
LOVE even more that you met the Duggars- our dream :) Love her statement!!! I need to follow that!
How awesome to meet the Duggars. I don't consider myself the star struck kind but I really look up to the Duggars. Sounds like y'all had a fabulous trip! Blessings!
So jealous of the RV AND meeting the Duggars! Can't wait to hear of your many adventures in your new 2nd home!
Have you seen the movie "RV"?? Too funny! Hope you find a name better than "The Big Rolling Turd"! Ha!
How neat to meet the Duggers! We live in Kansas too, and saw the ad for it in "The Parent Educator".
I have read you blog for a while now, and was very inspired by you guys to become a foster parent to foster to adopt.
We now have our foster care temporary permit and the license should be on it's way!
Was hoping you might be able to help us with info on how to adopt younger children, even babies like you guys did.
I would really appreciate any advice you could give.
thanks,

I am SO jealous! We weren't able to go to see the Duggars. I'm excited to hear it was a good time. Your photos are fantastic. What a cool experience.
Wow. What a ride. Too cool!!!!
The Duggars, when I read the title I thought you were just kidding. No fair. (so mature, I know)
Love the pictures and your kids look adorable dressed alike. Enjoy that while they are young :) I used to do that A LOT (way too much probably) but they would die first now. lol
LOVE that you got to meet the Duggars! And I love her comment about praising ten times more than correcting. I will definitely try to put that into practice!
Oh and the RV *rocks*!!
Wow, very cool!
So, you'll be bringing the entire family to the Rally this summer, right?
So AWESOME!! I love watching the Duggars...they're a great family! I need to follow that statement too. Gotta admit, I'm a little jealous of your new 2nd home! We have a Fifth Wheel and it's getting waaaay too small for us...now that the kids are bigger, we need something bigger! My name suggestion is "The Keller Kruiser" :o)
OH I love your new wheels! You are going to have so much fun in it!
How exciting to meet the Duggars - over here we only get their show on you-tube, but I did order their book last year & have read it a few times - I'd love to meet them in person!
Have a great day - you have such a beautiful family there!
Renata:)
PS Would love a visit with you, but unless it grows wings guess that's not possible!
Jen, the RV is awesome!! I met the
Duggars at a homeschool conference a couple of years ago when I was pregnant with Samuel. I couldn't believe she was really as sweet and mild mannered as she is on TV... really neat people. Thanks for your prayers for Levi and me as we inch closer to being able to meet him face to face:) I am still so very thankful for God using you to bring this little guy into our lives:)
Sara
sent it to you via FB. Love your post Jen!
I am so glad you got to meet the duggars! They are such a Godly family filled with love!
And they are from the great state of Arkansas..haha.:))
Your new TV looks like a lot of fun..hope you make lots of memories with your sweet family in it!
I am so incredibly, unbelievably JEALOUS!! I have been amazed by the Duggar family for years now, and feel as though they have so much to teach families about reconnecting with one another and what is truly important in life. What a blessing for you and your entire family! Is there room for one more in that RV, girl?? :)
We were there also! I just stumbled across your blog while googling the duggars. :-) I just blogged about our experience at: http://www.themodestmomblog.com/2011/02/meeting-duggar-family.html
It was So wonderful, wasn't it!!
We just bought an RV too! Ours isn't quite as "pretty" though. It's a 1988 Class C for $5500. But, it's paid for and when we are done adding more bunks, it will sleep at least 8-9. A big step up from our tent trailer!
Very cool you got to meet the Duggars too. I miss watching their show, I don't get it on my tv plan.
Oh my goodness, friend, I am sooooooo jealous that you got to meet them. But so happy for you :)
Dang...I still can't figure out why in the world I don't get your updates on that little "follower" thingy. Wierd.
