Tour MY 2 favorite BATHROOMS!

I'm joining KELLY this week at SHOW US WHERE YOU LIVE FRIDAY!

This week, is a tour of bathrooms. I picked my 2 new bathrooms in our house to show you! I LOVE THEM. Is it possible to love a bathroom? Well... I DO! I didn't clean before I took these pics..SORRY!

This is our guest bathroom. It is a full bathroom. It is rusty orange and black-coincidentally HARLEY COLORS!

I love the sink and mirror! The floor is tile-like linoleum-easy to clean! Shower curtain-TARGET!
When you walk in.. to the left is the door. These 2 Bible verse pictures hang behind the door. Its a tight space. This is where I have potty trained all the kids! Right outside the door are double doors leading outside! Cute bathroom huh?
Now on to the MASTER BATH. When we designed our bathroom, I wanted a "TRUE SPA FEEL." WELCOME.... Entering through the door. It is peach in color with REAL tile.To the right as you come in is our double vanity with SWIRLY light fixture-LOVE IT! A towel holder for each of us & on the floor on my side-my much hated item...THE SCALE! To the left as you walk in is my little dressing table. I LOVE THIS SPACE! Another squiggly light fixture over my mirror and a $29 DARLING chair from TJMAXX!

On either side of the table are large frosted windows. I LOVE these-they let all the light in but no peepers can see in!

Just across from my table is THE CAPTAINS PERSONAL OFFICE. To respect his privacy, I will not be showing it.Over the tub is a sign that says

"RELAX..IT DOESN'T GET MUCH BETTER THAN THIS!"

I know it looks like a very "ADULT FRIENDLY" with the jets and heater and all.

But the sad truth is..... These guys have used it about 100 times more than me. I know there will soon be a day when I can bathe ALONE and I will miss this very much! And these are camouflaged on the inside of the tub :)Around the corner across from the tub is the entrance to our walk-in shower. The Captain saw one like it in a hotel in Vegas and it is AWESOME!! 2 shower heads for when the 6 littles join me.A seat for sitting down, shaving legs or JUMPING OFF OF!Now get a towel and dry off! This is the view as you leave the bathroom. This is "MOONY" the bird. T and I got him and the cage on our shopping trip a while back. The kids ALL talk to him-very bizarre.
I am so thankful that God chose to bless us with such a beautiful home-it's all HIS you know? I'm also thankful that God blessed The Captain with the talents to do almost all the work on our home himself (with the help of a flighty assistant.)

I hope you enjoyed my bathroom tour and just remember what this sign says...
CHERISH Yesterday, DREAM tomorrow and LIVE today!
PS-I need a new daily devotional-any suggestions??

Tears On The Farm Today...Farewell....

It happens all the time on the farm and it DOES get easier but still sad.

I KNEW it was EVENTUALLY going to happen...

T's job is to feed our chickens each morning before breakfast.

This morning- this was all she found....SHE WAS DEVASTATED!!!

The chicken house got broken into last night or sometime in the wee hours of the morning.

The door was ajar....The screen was ripped out & we noticed some FAMILIAR foot prints on the side of their house.

The front screen and concrete block were moved and a HUGE HOLE DUG underneath the front door....After the cat was CLEARED OF ALL CHARGES this DYNAMIC DUO was deemed GUILTY!!
Guilty of the murder of our 2 sweet chickens that we incubated, watched hatch and faithfully loved and cared for.
She knows she did something naughty. She won't even look me in the eye."SUMMER" right out of her egg.

The only black chicken born. She was special.Named "Summer" by her mama Aw-BellFarewell Sweet SummerAffectionately named "Rainbow" by mama MyMyGoodbye Dear Rainbow..
You were both loved very much by 6 little kids.

I will admit, I shed a few tears over them IN PRIVATE myself.
There is a time to live and a time to die.

We learned a lot about Gods gift of life watching you 2 start as little dots inside an egg & then come out of the eggs-

What a miracle we got to witness.

Thank you for all you gave us in your short lives.

The giggles, excitement, laughter & now tears.

RIP Summer & Rainbow.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! In the PINK..

I KNOW, I KNOW...I'M LATE!!!! Read all the way through and you'll see why.

The Captain is usually always gone on Mother's Day. This year, I was blessed to have him home. SO EXCITED to go to church as a family & hear the kids special song they had been working on for weeks. Didn't happen....

We were IN THE PINK that day. PINK EYE that is-so we stayed home. I'll admit, I was bummed. Even more bummed the kids didn't remember ONE WORD to that song they learned for weeks.

The Captain took the 6 littles to Wally World and let them all pick out a present for me. I got the following....

  • A Clematis plant from T-LOVE IT!
  • A Watering can from MyMy
  • A necklace from Bean
  • Hand sanitizer from Bit But
  • Shower Gel from AW Bell
  • Bug Spray from WyWy Then I surprised all of them with gifts from me! They freaked! They were so excited! I told them how I felt God had blessed me so much with each of them & that without them I would have no Mothers Day so they deserved gifts too!T loves to take pictures so she did a photo shoot of me with one of the flowers that fell off the plant she gave me! I was lookin' flat ROUGH!Then The Captain cooked steak & shrimp for me on the grill YUMMERS!Then we ate this FABULOUS Chocolate raspberry Wally World Cake! (the reason for the DOUBLE CHIN in the above picture)
AS IF all that wasn't enough... This pulled in the driveway TODAY! The Nebraska Furniture Mart delivery truck only stirs HAPPY THOUGHTS in my brain. They brought me this.... A BEAUTIFUL LEOPARD PRINT CHAISE from The Captain for Mother's Day. They only deliver to THE STICKS like once every 2 months or I would have had it in time.

I've had a picture of this chaise lounge hanging in my command center for over a year.

AHHHH... I hope to do lots of relaxing, reading my Bible and CHILLIN' in my new chaise. Notice I'm wearing my WILD OLIVE TEE? Great giveaway going on over there! And YES, I pay my kids to rub my head :)

I've had lots of visitors to THE CHAIR already today-PRAISE GOD FOR SCOTCH GUARD & furniture protection plans :) I just LOVE the way it looks in my room. Now all I need is a little table and a lamp and I'm SET!
The Captain is NONE TO THRILLED with the Leopard Print. He actually despises it. Bringing a FROU FROU chair you can't stand into your bedroom-NOW THAT'S LOVE!
PS-DON'T FORGET TO GO TO SONIC TONIGHT BETWEEN 8 & midnight to get your FREE ROOT BEER FLOAT!

Bored? Rainy Day Activities...

We've had a couple good storms at the farm lately...... Can you see it BREWING?
Can you see the tree bending in this picture? We were on the porch seconds earlier THINKING we were going to watch a little shower from our log rockers and then BAM-out of nowhere 60 mph winds, rain and hail. The littles and I RAN in the house. Even Tinkybell-our dog ran in (and she NEVER goes inside). It was scary for a moment.
All the while, The Captain was trapped in the barn painting something. He waved at us right when it started and he said he actually thought that may have been our last vision of him alive. He said the barn was shaking so bad, he thought it was going to blow over.
We got 3 inches of rain out of the deal. Praise God-no hail damage to the wheat.
With a boat load of kids & homeschool done for the year-I MUST have some structured activities for rainy days or we'll all go BONKERS!!!
This morning, Bean and T made a crockpot cake. All by themselves. There are only 2 ingredients. A cake mix and can of pop.

First-put your cake mix in bowl.Next, your 12 ounces of pop. Then you mix, spray crockpot with cooking spray, poor batter in and put something small (we used a kabob skewer) in to vent so the condensation doesn't build and you have a soggy cake.

Cook on low 2-3 hours and VOILA!

Add cool whip to the top when done-SUPER YUM! NEXT ACTIVITY...TIE DYING!I bought a little kit at Wal-Mart & some RIT dye also. We used both. The kit came with everything you needed. Rubberbands & dye-very easy-just add water. After we dyed (WHICH WAS PSYCHO!!) My nail beds are still permanently rainbow. We wrapped our creations in plastic wrap for 8 hours. And VOILA again....
Here's BIT BUT
WyWyAW-BELLMyMy"T""Bean"I tried to tell T and Bean that the shirts had to be tied tightly or they would be mostly white-they didn't listen and just tied theirs on randomly. T cried when she saw hers-that's how we learn...
They are all pretty COOL HUH?
Then we made play doh...Heres MyMy stirring the ingredients.
3 cups flour
1.5 cups salt
6 tsp cream of tarter
3 tbsp oil
3 cups water

Dissolve salt in the water.
Pour all ingredients into a large pot.
Stir constantly over medium heat until a ball forms by pulling away from the sides.
Knead the dough mixture until the texture matches playdoh (1-2 minutes).
Store in plastic container.
Should last for at least 3 months.
Happy with his JOHN DEERE GREEN Play doh!
This recipe made enough for all 6 littles to have a big "WAD."

Seeing the shirts & the play doh, all so different in color, shape, pattern and style made me think of all of us. Down here on earth, we are different, molded by God, just the way he wants us, all with our own personalities, looks, gifts and talents. All of us God BREATHED.
Are you feeling down today? Just remember,
GOD DID NOT make a mistake when he made you.
  • There is ONE who will never leave nor forsake you.
  • There is ONE that forgives YOU and everything you've ever done,
  • There is ONE that will lift you up when the world lets you down.
  • There is ONE that is JUST WAITING FOR YOU to knock at HIS door and he will open it WIDE-JUST FOR YOU!
  • There is ONLY ONE that you need to please in this life...ONLY ONE.
  • There is ONE way to eternal life-through Jesus Christ.

Do you have Christ in your life? If not, your world and life will be changed forever by taking 3 simple ABC steps.

  1. Admit your a sinner and need to be saved
  2. Believe that Jesus died on the cross for your sins.
  3. Confess your sins to GOD and TURN FROM THEM.

Once you've taken those 3 easy steps-there is GOOD NEWS... YOU WILL SPEND ETERNITY IN HEAVEN WITH HIM!

ENJOY THE RAINY DAYS WITH YOUR LITTLE ONES!
