54th TIME IS A CHARM! I'VE BEEN ROBBED!

Meet, THE SLEEP ROBBER.......

ISN'T HE JUST ADORABLE?

I used to be able to count on him and Wy Wy to always got to bed with no problem-it was usually those darn girls who gave me trouble at bed time!

For about 3 weeks now, this little angel has not wanted to go to bed. We've tried EVERYTHING! He kept me up til 4am Sunday morning so I decided last night (runnin' on E-2 hrs sleep) no matter how long it took- HE WOULD BE sleeping in his bed when I SAID SO!!!! It makes me particularly DELIRIOUS when The Captain is away!

It took me back to the day when I had 4 babies & I averaged about 1-2 hrs a night while The Captain was gone-GLAD THAT'S OVER! When he would get home from a trip I COLLAPSED-LITERALLY!

It took merely 54 times and 2 straight hours of my placing him back in his bed. We started at 9pm and he finally stayed in at 11. He was up again at 3am and I only had to take him back to bed one time-Oh the relief to get some shut eye! I don't feel AS CRAZY any more! I am proud of myself-I kept my cool-didn't yell, stayed consistent and prayed myself through it!
ANOTHER MILESTONE CONQUERED! Thank you GOD for getting me through again!

SO, DON'T DOUBT YOURSELVES! If your little one is having sleeping issues-YOU CAN DO IT TOO!! I'll be there for ya'!

Can you hear me sighing with relief for you? :-)

I had one of those. 54 times was probably in his realm of doable when he was knee-deep in that phase. And we all survived.

Barely.

:-)

Wow, 4 am! That is crazy.
I hope he starts sleeping better. BG has been fighting going to bed lately too. I found that I took her nap out in the afternoon and she is doing much better at sleeping at night. We'll see if it keeps up.

there must be something in the air.. my 2 year old was up all night and then slept all day. I am pooped out! I just know I am going to collapse at 8:00 and he is going to be ready to play.. ERGH!

I am so going to have to remember this when the babies are not in cribs anymore. At least now, if they don't want to sleep they are still confined to a crib. I will sure need more help and patients when the time comes to get them into big beds.

That is great to read. I guess there is hope for us. We have the same problem with (S). I am glad I am in Florida for two nights as I will sleep well. My dear wife unfortunately is alone.

That is so hard! My little Jakob has started the "sleep in mama's bed" and I really do love it when he sleeps with us, but he is a bed hog and my hubby gets up at an ungodly hour to go to work and really can't be tired. ***sigh*** He went to bed tonight with no arguments. Not even begging for a story (it was far too late)--but he did say his prayers. . . he loves to pray! :0)

haha! I spoke too soon. . .I hear him in his room talking! :0)

Jen, I feel for you. My 25 month old is going through this. I feel so bad putting him back in his bed and usually just give in and let him sleep with us. I will be praying you get a full nights rest and get some needed sleep.

Hugs and blessings,
Shawnee
