Showered with LOVE!

My baby shower last Saturday was FABULOUS! It was such a blessed event & I was overwhelmed by the love so many showed baby Nineya and me.

My friends daughter made THE CUTEST EVER rattle cupcakes!

There were chocolate covered strawberries, spinach and artichoke dip and MUCH MORE!

Here I am with all 5 of my girls!

I was thrilled that both The Captains mom and my mom could make the special event!

One of my many BFF's who organized the shower.
We started praying over a year ago that we could share pregnancy together and
GOD ANSWERED OUR PRAYERS!

My friend JEN even drove 3 hours to make my shower!

I got MANY PRECIOUS HOME MADE GIFTS
My friend Jenni made this onesie.
I didn't get it at first but
OH IT IS SO SWEET & surreal that Nineya is our 8th child!
WHO'D A THUNK?
I cannot WAIT to put her in this!

My precious SIL "Aunt B"knitted these most special and TOO SWEET booties!
I can hardly get over their cuteness!

Sarah crocheted the first blanket
Jen knitted the second
Mindy quilted the John Deere one!
All made with LOVE!

God provided everything we could possibly need for Nineya AND MORE!
THANK YOU ALL for making us feel SO SPECIAL!

Sorry it has taken me SO LONG to post this but with each passing day, it is more difficult for me to do much without an all out PANTING EXTRAVAGANZA!

I don't have a laptop so I am also finding it harder to get to the computer!
I am thankful for each day Nineya continues to grow & stay safe inside mommy!

The Captain SWOOPS in to save the day!

My My is crying because of me..
I'm sitting here on the couch on bed rest, minding my own business, reading a book
and she comes in the house with this

If you look closer,  you will see IT!
MY ENEMY FOR LIFE..
THE MOUSE
She BROUGHT IT IN THE HOUSE.
The same mouse I pay a RODENT CONTROL PERSON quarterly
to keep OUT OF MY HOUSE-and its worth every dad gum PENNY!

She said "It was all alone out there mommy, it's just a baby."

I SCREAM "GET THAT THING OUT OF MY HOUSE!"
I AM ON BEDREST FOR BLOOD PRESSURE ISSUES PEOPLE!
This mouse in my home made my heart race and BP RISE!

What does a couch ridden mother who can't go outside do with this
scared mouse and HYSTERICAL CHILD?

CALL THE CAPTAIN!!
He was out in the field on the big tractor working ground with the boys
while the girls played outside.

HE PULLED THAT BIG GREEN TRACTOR OVER AND

HE CAME TO THE RESCUE with his gentle hand and spirit.

He promptly gave the mouse water and cheese and told her IT could live in the garage and
possibly he would get a cage for IT.
WHAT ON EARTH!
He's SUCH a nice guy...

His duty here is done, he calmly, lovingly saves the day once again, hangs up his cape & climbs back in the tractor.

I cannot even begin to describe my love for him........

I cry as I write this...(I'm an emotional pregnant woman remember?)
Yesterday he took the 2 boys for a total of 8 shots (normally my job), today he took the girls to the dentist (normally my job) and EVERY DAY he is home from his regular flying job, he farms, mows, bathes children, cooks, cleans, grocery shops, shuttles kids to violin and piano, plays blocks, does laundry-basically EVERYTHING for me & our family.

Thank you Lord for my wonderful husband who I love more every second...

UPDATE: THE MOUSE IS NOW LOOSE IN MY GARAGE UGH!

Days Full of Blessings...

Here's the SWEETEST-Our baby Nineya at 28 weeks 2 days!

Another blessing to still be "cooking" her!
Me at 28 weeks.
It takes literally sweat, tears and tons of effort to get showered,
dressed and put makeup on these days!

The only time I really leave the house is to go to church, on a car ride to Sonic with the family or to my OB appointments.

GOD REALLY blessed me by bringing one of my BFF's since age 3-Jen aka ISAIAH'S MOM
coincidentally into the same town where my OB appointment was yesterday!
OH it felt so good to see her!

My cousin "B" blessed us with her presence Saturday and Sunday.
I truly felt relaxed. I napped in my bed. WITH earplugs in.

She & the kids made these gorgeous flowers for me, drew with side walk chalk, read books AND MUCH MORE!

She also washed and put on ALL the kids bedding, cooked, did dishes & SO MUCH MORE!
While I layed their like a slug.
It was SO NICE to have another adult to talk to while I am on bed rest and
The Captain is away.

Thank you B for the gift of time you gave our family- WE LOVE YOU!

We've also been blessed with MEALS!
As you know I am on modified bedrest until the birth of baby Nineya.
We got 3 meals last week while The Captain was away and my church will be bringing meals from now until Nineya gets here on the weeks he is away.
I am so humbled and blessed and this truly IS help I needed but wouldn't have asked for so THANK YOU to our church family!

I am sorry I haven't been keeping up on reading all my favorite blogs but I can't sit at the computer like I used to. I promise I will get back to reading and commenting one day.

I AM SO LOOKING FORWARD TO my Baby Shower on Saturday!
I CANNOT WAIT!

Oh, and I cry over ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING these days.

New Car Seats & Car Race!

HAVE A SEAT!!!!

Having a new baby means we need ALL KINDS of new seats!! Car seats, bumbo seats, high chair, bouncy seats, more seats in the car.

Yesterday was SEAT DAY-we got 2 REALLY IMPORTANT seats from UPS and FEDEX.

The first one is Nineya's car seat.  Here it is and I LOVE IT!  It's the GRACO SNUGRIDE INFANT CAR SEAT-ZOEY.  Isn't it sweet?  The kids snapped and unsnapped it a million times already practicing for the baby.

The second one is JUST as important. We have SEARCHED AND SEARCHED for a solution to adding a 9th person to our Expedition EL or possibly purchasing a church bus or HUMONGO van.  The van idea is NOT FOR US for many reasons but the main reason is FOUR WHEEL DRIVE.  Those passenger vans DO NOT come in 4WD standard and to add it to a van, the total price is around $50,000-NO.can.Do.

We live on a farm-Literally IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE.  I MUST HAVE Four Wheel Drive to even get out of my driveway in the winter. The Captain is gone quite a bit so if an emergency came up and he was gone with his 4WD truck, I would be stranded.

Remember this picture of our driveway this winter?? So, the van is a NO GO!

HERE IS THE SOLUTION!! I was SO HAPPY to see it come yesterday.  These 2 princesses will occupy the new seat (in car seats of course)!  We got it at JAT DESIGNS.  It will bolt in behind our 2nd row of seats and be a 3rd row seat and now our vehicle seats 11! It has a convenient lever that folds the seat down so when I go grocery shopping I will still have room.

OF COURSE, the box was WAY more fun than the seats!

We had our AWANA Grand Prix this past Sunday.
Here are some of the cool cars the kids made.

Bean did a good job on his car "MIRACLE MAKER" M&M.
His car made it to the semi-finals.

T had the "HE IS RISEN" car.
It was a slow one but she had fun making it!

I will be 28 weeks tomorrow!
I am still on modified bed rest until Nineya gets here!

My sweet cousin will be coming for the weekend to help out while The Captain is away and 3 people have been kind and gracious enough to bring us a meal this week-BOY that was SUCH A BLESSING!
God knows JUST WHAT WE NEED & WHEN! I feel SO BLESSED!

I have my 3-D ultrasound, glucose test and much more on Monday at the OB.

I AM SO VERY EXCITED & Blessed that my homeschool & church friends are having my FIRST baby shower next week-I can't WAIT!!!

Embryo Adoption Video-my friend JEN!

My friend Jen and I started our own embryo adoption blog a few months ago to raise awareness about EA.  Our mission is to get more families for the more than 400,000 frozen embryos out there. Especially after seeing Jen's twin girls and our sweet Nineya-we both promised God we would speak up for the voiceless frozen souls out there that 3 our girls once were.

Our blog is called 3 Babes, 2 Jens, 1 Cause-Embryo Adoption.  Our blog explains why we both chose embryo adoption and several different  resources, clinics, doctors and agencies that help facilitate embryo adoption/donation.

Jen was on the news in Saint Louis last night and they showed a little picture of our family also promoting our blog.

Here is the video
