Hittin' the bottle=SANITY!

HOW Can something as simple as this make you lose or REGAIN sanity you ask? VERY EASILY.... Since Bit But turned 2 this week-I decided it was time to also say goodbye to his bottle which he affectionately calls his "MAMA."
I was doing GREAT the first day-no bottles at ALL-YAY ME!
But then then last night-the stress of 4 screaming kids
in addition to trying to help one of my best friends out over the phone who was in a crisis situation,
while trying to decypher "Grey's Anatomy"
made me almost want to check into the crazy house.
I GAVE IN PEOPLE!!!! I GOT SUCKED IN BY A 2 YEAR OLD!
Screaming MAMA MAMA MAMA-and he wasn't calling for me...

Forgive me for not being the perfect mother but I'm trying to be good and normal. Even if I'm not, Lie and tell me I am. Thank you!

PS-The Puker was PRINCESS :)
The Captain will be home to save us ALL from the insantiy in a matter of hours-PRAISE THE LORD!
We will be in full CONSTRUCTION MODE as soon as he gets here!
I CAN'T WAIT to show you all what we are doing with our house-so totally cool!
STAY TUNED

Aww, you poor thing. I would've caved too!!
The 'p' word is not allowed at my house. It makes me very cranky!! LOL

You are a WONDERFUL mother and you have to do what you can to keep your sanity!!! LOL
Even if it is 'hittin' the bottle'!!

Ha! Oh well ... today is a new day. I gave our daughter a "Nubie" that was like a sippy cut with a very short straw type of nipple looking thing. It was enough to trick her into leave the actual bottle behind.

Ok, too funny that he calls it "Mama" ... lol.

Best wishes!

hey you are after all only human. (I tell myself this ALL the time) ;)
I am amazed @ how you handle it all. I go nuts (with one little guy) if my husband is gone ALL day. (let alone 7 of them) You are my inspiration, even if you did give in to the bottle. ;)
HUGS
Can not wait to see what you are doing with the house.

We ALL cave during moments like that :) Speaking of Grey's Anatomy...what do you think will happen with Izzie????? Kind of getting tired of the whole Denny thing.

Oh sweet friend - sending SUPER UBER HUGS for you! I know these days and nights are tough enough without your hubby home - but to be dealing with a huge change for the children on top of it - oh my!

Praying that your son will do better each day as you ease him away from needing it. We used a super soft sippy cup that our daughter loves - she is 15 months old. Maybe something like that will help!??

Love,
Jill

I'm sure he'll give it up soon! Good luck and don't kick yourself about caving!

Oh you are so funny! Nope---there really is no such thing as a perfect mother. I gave up trying :) Give the baby the bottle---you NEVER see a 5 year old walking around with a bottle in his mouth---sweet baby will give it up (someday!). Who cares, right? Worse things could happen :)
Ooohh, can't wait to see what you're doing with your house.

Bottle, schmottle. What the HECK is going on with Izzie?

And just for the record, I have NEVER added liquid Benadryl to a bottle on a really rough day. No sireee, not me, mister.

OH! Been there, done that :)
Emma and Will took bottles to bed waaaaaaay longer than any of my other kids ever did....
Not gonna kill them or me :)

My friend, you made me smile in the middle of the night up with kiddos with jetlag! Been there, done that... you gotta survive right:) Thanks for your prayers and notes, we appreciated them so much while we were traveling. We finally got home last evening. It feels good to be home:)
I loved catching up with you and your family, I missed being able to read about life while we traveled!
Blessings my friend,
