CMV-EBV...THE VIRUSES...

The pictures below are of the 2 viruses the oldest MAY HAVE. The lab work is not back yet. She was released last night with strict orders to stay in bed for 1 week. She will go back to the Dr. on Monday after having her liver function tests re-checked. The first one may be Epstein-Barr Virus (the virus that causes mono) Which apparently most of us have had by age 40. The second one is cytomegalovirus which is very similar. The thing we have to make sure is that she lay low, stay hydrated and repeat her labs.

The great thing about being friends with Isaiah's mom is that she knew exactly what the problem was since she is an EXPERT on the liver with all Isaiah has been through-she helped ease my mind.
Thank you all for your love, care and prayers! And thank you to my parents for rushing to my side to help while The Captain is away. The oldest REFUSED any photos at this time on the blog-I don't blame her.
PS-I enjoyed reading (for the first time in a while) and almost finished "THERE'S NO ME WITHOUT YOU." EXCELLENT READ! Makes me want to board a plane to ETHIOPIA RIGHT NOW!

Continued prayers here too!

Oh that book and just looking at their faces makes me want to get on that plane with you Jenn! I go to bed each night knowing there are 143 million ORPHANS each night - help me help them Lord!

Hugs and love!

I will continue to pray.
I have EBV. It stays with you always (if I was told correctly)but only raises its ugly head occassionally.
You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Thank God for Grandparents. :)

Keeping you all in my prayers...I'm glad Jen was able to ease your fears...it's nice when you have someone close that knows exactly what you're going through and in this case is a nurse and can even tell you what's going on. :o)

I don't know details, but the word "virus" makes me think it's cureable, which is a good thing right? In my mind that word sounds better than "disease" which is what I was afraid I'd read.

Either way, she's still in my prayers!

I will keep praying!

When I was in college I got mono so bad that the EBV infected my liver also.

Not fun! Poor girl!

YAY! I am so glad to hear that she's home. I will keep praying for you guys! By the way, THANK YOU For letting us know about Isaiah. I have linked him to a blog asking intercessors to pray, and my five year old little boy is praying for Isaiah like crazy! Tonight he was asking God to tell him Isaiah's full name and tell Isaiah his full name so they will know each other when they get to play together.. even though we've never met and we live in Arkansas!

Will keep praying. And will say that I LOVE that book... ok well maybe I don't love it because it's so painful, but it's why we have our Little E.
