Jealousy & the PILOTS WIFE....

I'm sure I speak for many PILOTS WIVES when I say I am at many times JEALOUS & would TRADE PLACES WITH MY PILOT IN A MINUTE.

Like today...The photo below is the island where THE CAPTAIN is as I sit here on the ranch, with a pounding sinus headache-DREADING the 2 hours I will spend at Wal-Mart doing my weekly shopping. As I enjoy the fine cuisine of MAC N'CHEESE ALA HOT DOG CHUNK possibly with side of peas or corn. DON'T FORGET.. a gourmet dessert of Dora fruit snacks while wearing my slobbered on WILD OLIVE TEE.

This is where The Captain will dine. WITH ADULTS!!! AND A BEACH!! AND A SUNSET!! AND 80+ degree weather. Oh how I miss him....And after I bathe the tribe, go to Wally World and put away my insanely crazy amount of groceries.

I will fall asleep dirty, probably watching "Thomas The Train" for the cuzillionth time and The Captains last view for the night will be this.. Wishing I was hand in hand with him right now.

I must remind myself many things "HE IS WORKING. He misses me too, He also misses the kids and I could never be away from the tribe, no matter how crazy I am-for days at a time like he is."
I must also echo my thankfulness to The Captain-for sacrificing time with us-his precious ones, to be an awesome provider.
Ultimately my thankfulness to God for the wonderful job he has provided for The Captain to take care of my Wally World bill.
I MISS YOU HONEY!
Maybe we can get a glimpse of paradise from your webcam later!

Wow ... that would be really hard to know that your hubby is in paradise without you! I am sure it is not the same without you there ... if that makes it any easier! :)

I would like to see a picture of all the stuff you bought. That could be a good give away guessing how much it cost.

Know what you mean. The grass always looks greener doesn't it?

Be careful at Wally World. It can get crazy! LOL!

Wow, that has got to be hard. Did you use to be able to travel with him before kids.

Awww...I'm jealous too! LOL I like what Tessa said...I'm sure it's not quite the same without you there with him...when you're at Wally World, you should buy one of those Nature sound CD's with Ocean sounds (if you don't already have one)....listen to it as you go to bed tonight and pretend you're with THE CAPTAIN. :o)

lol, we had the same dinner! ;o)
Hate it when they are gone, prayers for peace and strength for you. My husband travels frequently and it's sometimes hard to remember that they miss us too. Even if it is in sun and sand and glory. ;o)
Hang in there!

Oh I am having the EXACT same thought today! I can't believe you posted this!
I was pining after having a job with ADULTS that can laugh at my jokes and use big words....
Oh course we are so grateful to stay home and teach our children, but I go through stages where I miss having somewhere to be! :)

wow...that would be quite difficult to keep the jealousy at bay:)

hey...i would be interesting in having you post sometime on your schedule...specifically how you stay sane homeschooling with so many little ones and your husband gone so much.

i constantly think of homeschooling but worry how i would do it and keep up with everything and still enjoy life...and my hubby is home 4 days of week! i think i might be in the realms of pathetic:)

This is the second blog I have read today that you guys have posted pictures of the ocean. I am needing an ocean fix bad it has been wayyyyy to long.

I can't imagine how hard it is to be away from your hubby and especially when you know he's sitting on a beach like that. It is a blessing though to have a husband that can provide so your kids have their momma at home.

Goodluck at W*l-mart!

Jen,
Looks beautiful! Bummer you can't join him, but I completely understand with the kiddos, we are in the same boat... DH has been on 3 mission trips in the last 6 months that I didn't get to join him on.God know though and has taken wonderful care and I know He does for you guys too!
I'm trying to figure out when I might make it up your direction... hopefully before too long:)

Wow...beautiful pics...I want to be there too. :-)

Always remember how important your "work" is, even when others just see us as ordinary housewives.

lol, I KNOW the feeling...but I could not fly with mine as he only is a freight dog...lol.....but the hotels he stays at are prettyyyyyy nice! He does bring back amenities from the hotels, like body lotions, etc, which is sweet.....I know he wished I could be with him on some of his trips. Alot of his flying though, can be pretty bumpy and I HATE to fly! LOl
I try to keep the house HOTEL ready for him....which some rooms are classified as ready and others, just shut the door! You have lovely photos!
