When The Captain's AWAY....

ALL HECK BREAKS LOOSE!!!

When The Captain is away working every other week-this is ALWAYS the times when the crisis' hits.

Monday night Bean cracked his head open at basketball practice and required 3 staples. I had a friend sit in the car with the other 5 littles at the hospital and watch a movie while I took him inside. Thank you Lord for FRIENDS!
We had a huge snow storm yesterday so we decided to do crafts and watch Christmas movies! Our creations....This is what the snow looked like out our side door at 6:30pm last night. And at 8:30pm once the 40mph BLIZZARD winds kicked in....
We are snowed in while The Captain is away. We don't mind. We always find something to do. We are greatful for heat, food, God and each other.
BTW-my morning sickness has been fairly hard to deal with. My energy level low, nausea level HIGH.

Bit But has been wearing that striped sweater since church Sunday (today is Wednesday people). Praying I will muster up the energy to bathe everyone tonight-its been since Saturday that I bathed them-SO NOT ME! I know it is only temporary and this new baby is a MIRACLE for our entire family and that is what is important....family...NOT A CLEAN FAMILY!

When I saw that snow piled against the door, I had images of one of the kids opening it and piles of snow coming into the house! This sounds like a fantastic snow day :)

Looks like fun.....:-) I thought I was the only one who got tired enough to not bathe their kids for days...
I have taken my kids to the ER and my BF has sat in the car with the other two I cant imagine all your littles. You are blessed! :)
Thanks for all your kind words and prayers! You are awesome!!!

I pray that you find the needed energy too. Just remember, the nausea will end and your energy will return. :)

Quite the storm!
Have you tried Unisom and B-6?? What about prescription meds? I would call your OB and talk about your sickness level. They should have some suggestions. The Unisom and B-6 is the only things keeping me going.

Oh my goodness! Sorry about little man's head, ouch. And man! That is SOME snow! Glad you are all having fun, and heck who needs a bath when you are just hanging around the house! ;o)

Jen, So very sorry about the nausea! Extremely happy about the reason:) I cannot believe the snow...my kids would be so very jealous! Our daddy travels too and I so understand that everything seems to wait until I am "alone". Glad you have great friends!!

My northern blood is missing all of that snow here in OK... It looks beautiful even if it is just against your door. Have you tried ginger or milk thistle for the nausea? Just a thought... Praying for you and that little one growing inside of you... as well as the little ones growing beside you:)
Blessings!
Sara

I know it seems like FOREVER in the thick of it, but it will pass. Pregnancy sickness is so difficult and I'll remember you in my prayers. The sweater thing cracked me up...I remember those days! Hang in there!!

Owie, owie, owie!!! That looks so painful. I'm always good during the moment of a crisis but it's after that I fall apart. I'm with you, crafts and relax... Who cares if things or little ones are not perfectly clean. Love the Christmas tree picture. Very cute!

Praying for you, friend!

Love the snowman project, we might have to do that today as it is now our turn to be homebound with this lovely blizzard (hopefully not as much snow as you!).

Keep going, Jen! You can do this and a wonderful little blessing will be here before you know it! :)

Sorry the morning sickness is getting to you - but praising God for the miracle causing it!

We hope that I will travel to bring Lilly home mid to late January! I hope to hear next week!

Lots of love,
Jill

I love snowy days that we have nowhere to be, just cuddling in the warm house as a family!

You're right...family is the most important part...not how clean they are :-)
