We Be TRIPPIN'!

WAY BACK YONDER in MAY..
We loaded up the YOUNGUNS and headed fer
COLORADEE!

Our first stop (besides the usual Wally World lot) Was at my PRECIOUS Aunt Dee and Uncle Dales!
Aunt Dee is SUCH A SPECIAL LADY!
A former kindergarten teacher! Sure wish she were here to help with my 3 kindergarteners this year in our homeschool.

Like any good Aunt and Kindergarten teacher, she had a box of educational "goodies" all ready for the kids to rifle through and take in the RV! SO SWEET!
Here they are with the 7 littles...

Here we all are outside their home...
She shared some pictures with me of my first ever visit to their home when I was 4 or 5 years old-the kids thought that was SO NEAT to see pics of me as a wee one!

And just like that....WE WERE OFF
in the potty with wheels to our next destination!!

Our niece Madi's graduation from high school!
Madi is also THE ANGEL that has stayed with our kids while we were in Mexico and gone last week on another kidless trip.

Blakely LOVED the food after graduation...

WE ALL DID!

WE LOVE SUSHI-EVERY LAST ONE OF US!

We took a drive to the mountains in between the festivities!

We even had 2 extra passengers on the way home!
The Captains parents rode back with us!
The whole trip was a VERY joyous one!

THEN there's our ANNUAL STURGIS/Black Hills TRIP!
Due to a certain c-section, I missed last year.
Here's our riding "posse"...

Despite popular belief...
there are TONS of Christians who go to Sturgis...
We didn't get naked...(exept for showering to get all the bug guts off)
See naked people..
We didn't stay or even go to the infamous "buffalo chip" campground
OR
indulge in anything immoral or illegal.
We were in bed by 11pm EVERY NIGHT.

We rode 200-300 miles a day while we were staying in Rapid City, SD. We spent our time focusing all all the beautiful things in the area that our creator made for us to enjoy...

We saw buffalo..
We ate buffalo burgers..YUM YUM..

I absolutely LOVE CRAZY HORSE!

We rode down the strip in Sturgis..ONCE during the day to check out all the cool motorcycles and eat the FAMOUS steak tips at The Loud American Roadhouse..

I enjoyed this view... :)

We even went to Wyoming to see Devil's Tower...

We cuddled there....

We did a ride with a certain celebrity....

We logged over 1800 miles on the Harley this trip.
and The Captain even SPLURGED and got me a
MUSTANG SEAT for the ride home.

My Derriere is STILL thanking him...

I love riding on the back of that bike for MANY REASONS.

Here are my top 10.

The obvious is #1

1.  Being physically attached to THE CAPTAIN for 5 straight days and having my mouth right by his ear so he can actually hear me without 400 children interrupting.
2. The SILENCE...
3. The PEACE
4. Taking in all God's Nature.
5. Listening to Praise and Worship for 5 straight days..
6. Prayer-I prayed for MANY peeps on the back of that bike..
7. The Smells of all God's creations.
8. Not hearing ANYONE call out "MOM" for just a little bit.
9. Time alone with my husband to reconnect and refresh our marriage in such a beautiful setting..I thank God for that.

And may I just repeat...IT IS OKAY...I REPEAT OKAY to go away with your husband for a few days when you can. IT IS SO GOOD FOR YOUR KIDS to see you making your marriage a priority!
