1st GBG Edition + truck!

Welcome! To the 1st edition of GRAIN BIN GOODIES! aka GBG.

Since moving to the farm with THE CAPTAIN 7 years ago... MUCH has happened-we've been blessed with 6 kids, added on to our house, had 6 kids-oh, did I say that already?

Anyway, I have always wanted to explore the farm AND ITS CONTENTS a little more and have finally found the time. We have a barn, 2 grain bins and several buildings full of TREASURES!!! I could decorate 10 houses with all that I am finding!

THEREFORE, I am OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCING GBG-to showcase my re-vamping, restoration or destruction of these things I find beauty in. No antiques will be PURPOSELY destroyed during this process.

So today, the kids and I dug around a grain bin and found this stuff....

After all that treasure hunting, it was POP-ICE TIME!The pots were in pretty rough shape even after trying to clean so we spray painted them & put them on our new old table after planting flowers in them.I don't know if I like it by the front door-what do you think?Remember these shelves from the previous picture? BLACK SPRAY PAINT can make ALMOST ANYTHING BEAUTIFUL! I think The Captains uncle or dad made these-groovy huh? LOVE THEM in my command center above my 1920 GBG bottle! Here are some more of the GBG pots, unpainted on plant stands my mom gave me last year. A strawberry plant is in the biggest one.Oh, and we got a new grain truck yesterday-you like it? The Captain and his dad will be much safer driving our wheat and beans to the elevator during harvest. With only 320 acres-we don't use a BIG RIG SEMI like the big time farmers do.
The Captain just came in from hours in the field getting the ground ready for the soybeans he will be planting tomorrow.
I feel so blessed to live on this farm.
Thank you Lord for all you have given me!
