Who needs PROTEIN?

We had a WONDERFUL dinner tonight, I just HAD TO SHARE! I don't know if I get this crazy craving from my 8 years as a Girl Scout or what. It doesn't matter...

FIRST YOU GET OUT ALL THE FIXIN'S!
THEN YOU ROAST YOUR MARSHMALLOW OVER THE FIRE!

THEN YOU PUT ALL 3 INGREDIENTS TOGETHER & EAT..YUMMY!"

THEN YOU LICK YOUR FINGERS...

ONE HAPPY MOMMY AHHHHHH!

S'MORES, APPLES & POPCORN FOR DINNER-WHO COULD ASK FOR MORE?????

MAKING MEMORIES...IT'S NIGHTS LIKE THESE THEY WILL REMEMBER :)

ON MY HONOR, I WILL TRY TO FEED MY KIDS AT LEAST ONE ITEM FROM EACH TIER OF THE FOOD PYRAMID AND LIVE BY THE MOMMY LAW! JUST NOT TONIGHT!

TOTALLY!

Sounds like fun too!

I bought King crab legs for a surprise dinner for the kids this week - they love them and daddy hates them. So while he is away we will enjoy them and have a fun making a MESS!

Isn't it fun to through the rule book out every once in a while!

Our favorite dinner is dairy and fruit...to be more precise banana splits. I sometimes let my kids eat cereal too cause they don't want leftovers. Maybe we will the smore dinner sometime LOL!!! :)

Got your comment. I always pray that somehow what the Spirit speaks to me will also speak into the hearts of other mamas. If you ever need to "share" you can email me at mccourtney3@yahoo.com. I am sure we are like 2 Corinthians 1 sisters.

Hi
Just wanted to introduce myself---coming out of lurking :)
It has been SUCH a joy to follow your family adventures over the last few weeks. You have such adorable children.

you know, that is an awesome idea. You are so right, sometimes you just have to have s'mores for supper.

Hi Jen,
Thanks for your sweet comment on my blog. Yes, Haven is an absolute joy. I did not know that one of yours has Autism. Phew--this is such a new journey for us.
I am not sure where you would find children in disrupted adoptions. I had been looking at Haven for a long time on a waiting child site. I thought God just wanted me to pray for her :) Then I saw an urgent appeal for a family---her time had run out. I did not know anything about the disruption. I called the agency and they told me her sad story---I knew we could not leave her in China!

I love your dinner. . . the other night, my son had a bowl full of snow with sprinkles on top! Not particularly full of calories when you are trying to help him get a little girth to his tiny body! :0) But he sure loved it!

I love it! When I was growing up my mom would have crazy dinner night every once in awhile. We would each pick some random food, usually junk and have a buffet of yummy goodness with no nutritional value. Popcorn, doritos, ice cream, etc. I remember how fun and spontaneous it was. I think the laughter and the love makes up for the nutritional deficit. :-)
