Stroll a little, Mop a little...MY SECRET Pet PEEVE.

I LOATHE MOPPING & I LOVE MOPPING
I hate the work-LOVE THE CLEAN
(See below picture for WHY)

I have 1500 square feet to mop JUST in our great room and kitchen.
Then there's the hallway & the 3 bathrooms
It can FLAT wear a girl out.

And because of the 12-almost 14 pitter pattering DIRTY FEET scuffling around, IT IS SO HARD TO FIND A CONVENIENT TIME TO MOP!!
THE CAPTAIN took the 4 middle littles to get new tires on MY RIG yestreday so it was the perfect time to mop. EXCEPT FOR ONE THING.. SCREAMING BABY WHO WANTS MAMA!

I did my normal process of vacuuming everything first with my dyson
did a little home schooling in between and mopped section by section
It went like this...
VACUUM A little, STROLL A little, NURSE a little, SCHOOL a little, MOP THE LEAST
AND SO ON...

As long as she had her fist and was "on the move" she was F I N E!
Just a SMIDGE tough to do while mopping

Now for my pet peeve.

It makes me WARM, AGITATED and maybe a SMIDGE NAUSEOUS when people wear shoes in my house.

THERE, ITS OUT-THAT FELT GOOD!

I TRY not to let it show but I fear it does at times.

ALL THE JUNK BROUGHT IN ON THE BOTTOMS OF SHOES where my kids run around (and occasionally *cough* may eat food off of)-makes me cringe for some reason.

IT HAS BEEN PROVEN that 90% of bacteria from the bottoms of YOUR SHOES TRANSFER TO THE FLOOR inside.  IT IS DANGEROUS FOR CHILDREN-ESPECIALLY newborns!

Shoes have deemed to be "GET THIS"... "DIRTIER THAN A TOILET SEAT." LIKE EWWWWWW!!

If you are visiting me soon, leave your shoes AT THE DOOR-I'm not being rude just trying to keep my home and my 7 littles as healthy as possible! AND, condsider taking yours off at your house ESPECIALLY if you have littles that play on the floor!

AND TRYING TO KEEP FROM STROLLING MORE, MOPPING MORE!

OH , IF ANY OF YOU are feeling generous-CHRISTMAS IS COMING and I think I would look pretty RAD on one of these!

My love/hate relationship is hardwood floors! I love them because they are easy to clean, they look awesome and well... I just love them! I was so glad that we were able to salvage the floors in our house. My hate relationship... dust and every little thing that drops on them you can see! I too prefer shoes removed in the house, it's just the dust that gets carried in on the bottom of them. My challenge in our house... where to put them near the front door that doesn't always look like a mountain of little shoes in the middle of the floor!
Praying for your little one, that she will settle down a bit more soon:)
Blessings,
gayly

I have the same problems, well sort-of. We have hardwood and tile everywhere in our house and it is a marathon effort to keep it clean--even with just one kiddo! And, I totally agree about the no-shoes-in-the-house policy! I wouldn't have it any other way! I ALWAYS take my shoes off in other peoples houses too :)
