3 DOWN...

She had ONE in the middle of the night last night and it went SMOOTH AS SILK so I thought the same would be true for this mornings feeding...NOT!!
She bit, punched, kicked, ripped at my shirt and basically "went bonkers". We were both in tears. I layed her in her bed, she cried for about 20 minutes, I went back in and tried "THE EVIL BOTTLE" again and she took it-TWO DOWN. She has spit up twice as much with formula.

I have been nursing every other feeding and it seems to be working ok. She was agitated all afternoon until I nursed her at 2pm then she slept.
She had # THREE bottle before bed and I hope and pray she sleeps..and I do.
It has been 7 hours already since the last feeding OUCH!

It's okay sweetie, WE CAN DO IT!

Hi! I had to give up nursing when my son was only two weeks old. I had been admitted to the hospital for postpartum pre-eclampsia and was put on medication that was not nursing friendly.:-( I was devastated and cried at first, but it got better each day. I pumped and dumped for a few days, then they gave me a pill to help dry up my milk. I only took it once b/c I think my milk was beginning to dry up on its own. A week later, I learned that I would never have another opportunity to nurse another child as I underwent an emergency hysterectomy.

I had to hand my sadness and disappointment over to the Lord. Honestly, things got easier with each feeding. I also told myself that my son wasn't going to nurse forever anyway and reasoned that a year from then, he would only be nursing on occasion anyway. It helped. In Christ, Talya
