A Little Stumbling Block. Prayers Please.

I Wrote this yesterday on The Captains Birthday....

Today is my Best Friends Birthday. Truly the Love of my life. I prayed for him for years before God decided it was time to gift me with him.

It's been a rough #53 for him. But he is the toughest guy I know. He can drive a Harley, an RV, a Combine, A Tractor, fly an Airplane and fix anything broken. He's a primo God Fearing Father and Husband to our 8 amazing kids. He's strong, handsome and doesn't know how to do anything 1/2 way. He's ALL IN when he does anything.

I love holding hands with him. I love it when he puts his arm around me at church. He lets me know that he adores me. He takes complete care of me, our kids, our home, our farm and tells me to treat everything we own like it's the ONLY one we will ever have. He appreciates everything he has. He loves the beach (if you didn't know).

He's a VERY PRIVATE PERSON but has allowed me to share with you all that we are in a bit of a need for prayer. Nick had thyroid cancer many years ago. We found out last week that it was back in the thyroid area as well as a lymph node in his neck. They wanted to do surgery right away. So he had a bilateral thyroidectomy yesterday. You can see by the picture that it is a very large incision. He didn't want to tell anyone because we thought it was going to be a tiny outpatient procedure....

When we met with the surgeon yesterday before surgery he told us that only one lymph node as well as two spots where the previous cancer was, had been tested via fine needle biopsy and all had come back positive but some other lymph nodes just like the one tested also looked cancerous. We "THOUGHT" that only only lymph node and the 2 spots where it was before was all the cancer there was but I guess they just didn't test the other suspicious areas. He's been getting scans and tests for months now but nothing ever showed up on them.

All in all they ended up removing a lot of metastatic lesions from the left side of his neck, a few from the right, a tumor where the previous thyroid cancer was and this is the MIRACULOUS PART.... As Nick's parent's and I got the final report from the surgeon. He explained how Nick had only one working vocal chord (the other was paralyzed during his previous surgery) and how he also found a lesion embedded in the nerve/vocal chord. He said "I stopped and said a prayer before I moved on" He went on to explain that had he nicked that chord and with the other one no longer working, Nick would have had to breathe through a trach for the rest of his life. We were surprised to learn that without at least one vocal chord in tact, you can't breathe without help.

We praise the LORD and are all grateful for a surgeon that loves the Lord and asked for His Divine guidance.

We spent the night in Topeka last night after the surgery and now Nick is home resting comfortably. We go back Thursday to get his drain removed. We are SO BLESSED not to have to RUSH back to work but that we can both be here together, with the kids healing. Thank you #ItWORKS for helping us OWN OUR TIME. It's so nice to not have to report back to work. THIS is truly OWNING YOUR TIME.

The next step is for Nick to heal and wait. MOST of the time thyroid cancer is NICE and stays in the neck. Sometimes it can spread to lungs/sternum area so when he is healed he will have a PET SCAN which will make sure he is all clear in the rest of his body. He will also have some form of radiation, we are just not sure exactly what yet.

I wanted to share this because I have so many people that I know will pray for us and I believe that the power of prayer from our facebook and BLOG family can totally heal Nick. Thank you all in advance for the prayers.

CHICAGO!! Getting Comfortable being Uncomfortable!

I had to head out to Chicago for a few days to do some training with my team! 

On the way out of town, I stopped by and saw an old friend from grade school that reached out to me about THESE CRAZY WRAPS and our Hair Skin and Nails!! I told her I would be close to Kansas City the next day and would stop by so she could wrap!!! We LAUGHED AND LAUGHED!! It was SO FUN to get caught up and share the products with her!!! We had SO MUCH FUN, I almost missed my flight!

I landed in Chicago at 6:30pm Thursday and my WONDERFUL sister picked me up!

For those of you who don't know, we were separated at birth. I was adopted out to a wonderful family after spending several months as a newborn in foster care. My Mom and Dad ended up getting married RIGHT after I was born and got pregnant right away with my sister. After my sister they had my brother. When I was 25, My brother found me and I was shocked not only to find out I had full sister, brother and also 2 half-sisters but the most surprising part is I AM HALF MEXICAN.. AND THEN THE SHOCKER.... My Birthmom and My Real Mom have THE SAME FIRST NAME!!! 

My sister and I are SUPER CLOSE!! She is also in my business with me so that means we get to see each other EVEN MORE!!!!! We stayed up late talking and ate some Chicago Pizza! YUM!

We started the next day with a wrap party in downtown Chicago!! We met and wrapped some WONDERFUL LADIES during their lunch break!!

We signed TWO new team members and 3 new customers!!

We rushed back to her house and had training with some other team mates and went out for dinner and stayed up late chatting again :)

The next morning was a BIG TRAINING with 300 of our closest It Works Family Members.

When you get to a certain level in the company, You start holding your own training events a few times a year!!!!! This was TOTALLY AND 100% OUT of my comfort zone.

Never in a ZILLION years would I have believed 2 years ago that I would be speaking on stage in front of hundreds of people training them on things like leadership and how to build businesses and be MOMPRENEURS.

Isn't God just AMAZING?? He brings us to things we think we will never do and gives us a passion to get through them. I wasn't nervous AT ALL once I got up there!!! I am SO PASSIONATE about this business and have seen SO MANY LIVES CHANGE both physically and financially that It brings tears to my eyes.

So, If you are out there and you are at a standstill with something in your life, think about STEPPING OUTSIDE YOUR COMFORT ZONE to push through it!! If you do something you thought you would never do, something will happen that you thought would never happen!! Pray for got to lead you to it and HE will lead you through it!! YOU are made for BIG THINGS!!

Day 2 2014 Humungo RV Trip~Throwed Rolls!!

We started our morning out in our usual Wal Mart Lot.. It's so weird, You are all CUDDLED IN your beds and feel so safe and warm, you don't even realize what is going on outside your house on wheels. It's marvelous...

I ran in with T and got a few things and we headed off!!! We were headed to CROSS SOMETHING off MY dream board!!!  I had been wanting to go to LAMBERT'S Cafe for YEARS and we drove a bit out of our way today to get there!! The wait was 45 minutes but we snuggled in our RV while we waited!!

They really do THROW ROLLS at you, YOU LIFT your hand and they chuck em right at you! It's fabulous fun! The kids had such a great time!!!

OHMYLANTA it was WORTH IT!!!! All my HARD WORK the last 9 weeks felt like it melted away after I ate these rolls, fried chicken, collard greens and MUCH MORE.. Let's put it this way, the only thing "CLEAN" about this eating was my plate when I was done!!

We are all SNUGGLED IN Murfreesboro, TN for the night!! Hoping to Cross the FL State Line tomorrow!! 

So thankful to God for safe travels, for owning our time and for being here in the Wal Mart Parking Lot, cuddled in with my family as the rain falls outside.

BIG NEWS of BIG BLESSINGS!!!

We will be starting our Homeschooling year on Monday! Just got a new laptop and the older kids TEACHING TEXTBOOKS all loaded on it!! We are ALMOST ready to ROLL!!!

BIG LIFE CHANGES for us!!!



God has been SO GOOD TO US!!!! From seeing adoptive families raise money to bring their little ones home, watching people get out of debt, BLESS IT FORWARD and seeing single moms now be stay at home moms!!!  Also our little grandbaby is due September 8 and this biz has enabled our Oldest and SIL to be able to stay home full time with her!! WE are BLESSED BY OUR BUSINESS!!!!

HELLO!! LOTS OF NEWS :)

We have had a BLESSED SUMMER!!

We sent our kids to public school last school year. It was quite an adjustment!! Now we can say WE TRIED IT!! We LOVED the school and the teachers and staff but MISS OUR FREEDOM :) Especially now with The Captain being RETIRED from flying and being home, working full time with me on OUR BOOMING BUSINESS! But we will be going back to homeschooling this coming year! I will admit, I'm nervous to be homeschooling  my first high schooler but know that God will get me through!

You all know that we lost our son in law Matt in Afghanistan last year...He was a HERO and will never be forgotten.... Well, we have some big news :) God has sent our oldest a true ANGEL.. He holds her when she cries.. He understands.. He has been at war himself and was injured badly...HE GETS IT...  They were Married in March and are expecting OUR FIRST PRECIOUS GRANDDAUGHTER IN SEPTEMBER! They are living in Dallas so we will be in TEXAS A LOT!!!!!

We have been BUSY TRAVELING in our RV! We spent 3 weeks in Florida in May and June!!! We were blessed to take one of our two kiddos birth siblings with us that has never been out of Kansas :) SO FUN! We plan on spending FOUR MONTHS in it this winter from NOVEMBER 1 to March 1! We are SO EXCITED to plan this trip!

BUT THE BIGGEST BLESSING was to be able to Bring our parents down to FL on an ALL EXPENSES paid trip!! We got them a little house RIGHT on the BEACH with their own separate master suites! A DREAM COME TRUE FOR ME!! Our GOOD LORD and OUR BUSINESS made it all possible! WE ARE SO THANKFUL for the precious memories made!

I am blessed to travel about one weekend a month to different areas to train my GROWING IT WORKS TEAMS and also to BE TRAINED!! SO FAR this year, we have been to FLORIDA, DALLAS, ATLANTA, CHICAGO, NEBRASKA, KANSAS CITY, and headed to CALIFORNIA this weekend and SAINT LOUIS in a couple weeks then Back to FLORIDA and WEST VIRGINIA SOON!  The FRIENDSHIPS FUN and Freedom that God has Blessed us with have been UNREAL!! SO MANY adoptive MAMAS on our team!!! Its truly something ONLY GOD can Orchestrate!!! It has changed SO MANY LIVES both physically and financially.. UN... REAL!

We also had a BIG BIRTHDAY just a few weeks ago :) Blakely turned THREE!! Hard to believe this little miracle is GROWING UP SO FAST!!! 

We also just finished our YEARLY WHEAT HARVEST here on the farm!! UNTIL NEXT YEAR!!
