7...Our MyMy

OH HOW THE TIME FLIES! Seems just yesterday I got the call that she needed a foster home. She's already 7!  Today, makes me ponder a lot but mostly the thankfulness I feel deep in my soul for God's Gift of Myah Annmarie as our earthly daughter. The sweet babe born in the back seat of a car to a meth addicted mother. THANK YOU LORD for saving our girl and protecting her life. Gratitude to the LORD for this precious precious girl!

She wanted to make some "Swirly cupcakes". So we did. We divided our cake batter into 4 bowls and made them 4 different colors! Pink, purple, blue and green.

Then we put a bit of each color in the cupcake papers and swirled them around with a toothpick.

Then before we knew it, they were all baked up!

Then we got "ALL FANCIFIED" and made our own homemade butter cream frosting FROM SCRATCH! This was the first time for me. Turned out doggone devine. Blew away that canned junk. How come ya'all never told me to do it this way? I think I gained 4 pounds licking the spoon with this stuff and it wasWAY EASY!

MyMy wanted more than anything for her birth sister to come. That is really all she asked for. Well, her sister got a case of lice from school and wasn't able to make it. Both girls were very sad but THE SHOW MUST GO ON! Luckily, we planned a skating party here at our local rink also. 

Here is the "party table" all set up at the skating rink.

She picked out tubes filled with glowing earrings, necklace and bracelets and we added little tags that said "Thanks for ROLLIN over to my party" Love, Myah

We made the little cupcake toppers!

I even used a bag and one of those fancy tips to put the frosting on. What do you think? I know, I need practice :) but she LOVED THEM!

The sweet Birthday Girl!

Even Lolli fell in love with skating and went around a MILLION times!

Let me introduce you to "THE CUPCAKE STALKER" who was caught putting his finger in more than once..EWWWW!

Living out in the boonies like we do, we don't have a LEGIT skating rink but BOY do the kids love skating on this wooden floor and BOY is it LOUD when they fall, bang bang bang. We attended the beginners skate from 5-7pm along with the rest of the town. I'll bet there wer 70 little ones trying to skate that evening. I rewarded myself with a LARGE dose of ibuprofen when I got home.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our precious princess!!!

On a side note, MyMy and Bits birthmother JUST got out of prison and we are looking forward to seeing her. She has gained 50 pounds since being clean and off of meth in prison. We are hoping and praying we can see her "CLEAN" for the first time ever very soon!

Drugs & Peer Pressure...

DRUGS-This picture pretty much sums up our last 7 days.....

ALL 4 littlests have been on breathing treatments, cough medicine and ibuprofen

for the last several days 

The 3 littlest have all been on

antibiotics for the last several days

Today My My also started antibiotics for an ear infection that snuck in to the mix.

Getting them all medicated and keeping the vaporizer full is a FULL TIME JOB!

I LOVE the way they are rooting her on to not be afraid to take her medicine.

I LOVE that they came up right beside her to give her instruction & encourage her.

SHE WAS NOT falling prey to peer pressure and drugs. 

NO WAY-NO HOW!

It took a couple hours of her holding both the antibiotic and cough medicine

in her little medicine syringes

and she Was NOT happy to finally swallow it, but she did.

SO THANKFUL for medicine & doctors so my kids can get better!

WE CANNOT WAIT UNTIL THE CAPTAIN GETS HOME!

5...How time FLIES!

For her 5th birthday, MyMy requested 2 things

  1-go shopping with mommy alone for skirts
• 
  
  2-a party at the historic CW PARKER CAROUSEL

We set off EARLY last Saturday. The Captain and the other 5 littles stayed at my parents while MyMy and I went to the big city & hit the mall..

OH HOW I MISS IT living in the sticks...

She picked out several dresses & skirts and got hungry.

It was FREEZING outside so we went to the first restaurant we spotted-she had never been before.

She is SO GRATEFUL & has the KINDEST spirit!

She wanted broccoli cheese soup & a strawberry smoothie at Panera.

She ranted the enitre time about HOW WONDERFUL everything was.

The manager must have noticed her ADORABLENESS & offered her this pink heart cookie for her birthday treat-it was DIVINE, she shared with mommy!

After heading back to my parents & trying on all those new clothes, it was time to head to the carousel for her party!

The 6 littles and even some of the big peeps colored various carousel pictures.

Then came the entrance of WyWy's hero, Our SIL home from Iraq.

I think WyWy surprised him by clinging to his legs for quite some time.

My My designed her own DQ cake, I would have thought some type of princess or something but this is what she picked out-wording and ALL!

2 of her friends from home were able to make her party since they were nearby visiting family for the weekend-WONDERFUL!

EVERYONE enjoyed riding the carousel from young to old....

Happy 5th Birthday to our little MIGHTY MOUSE!

We thank God so much for delivering you to our home to love!

She is TRULY a MIRACLE!

HAIR...& slow come back..

I cut My My's hair tonight in the driveway. About 5 inches came off. Since The Captain is balding, he ALWAYS tells My My, "I wish I had some of your hair on my head." "If you cut it, can daddy have some?"

I just love this guy so much.....I am making a SLLOOOWWW comeback to my blog!

My REAR END survived Sturgis and we are heading to Florida next week for family VACA then we will be sending our new SIL off to Iraq.

AFTER ALL THAT, I hope to be back to my regularly scheduled BLOGGY SELF!

Guess Who?

Guess which one of the 6 littles got glasses....She refused to take them out of the case until we were ALL gathered round.. Here she is in her DISNEY PRINCESS glasses! This was the first pair she tried on and she LOVED THEM. Although I AM NOT A FAN OF ANYTHING with characters on it except P.J's-I adore these! Don't you just love the case?She even got a free pack of mints with her purchase!They are pink & purple with a little *BLING* on the side.And OFF SHE GOES... Our little My My-growing up into a big girl at 4. Oh how time flies!
